Click Start > All Programs > Accessories > Sound Recorder.
Click the red "Start Recording" button and talk into the microphone.
Click the "Stop Recording" button when you are done.
You will be prompted to save the recording, along with metadata (Contributing Artists, Album, and Genre.)
A limitation of sound recorder is that you will not be able to edit the recording or save it in a file format
other than WMA.
